Kade Edwards joined the team in 2014 and has kept us laughing at his exploits ever since. Not only is he fast (top-placed of the first year World Cup Juniors with 5th overall) but he is Dzone of the sickest dudes out theredzMayhem Media who has already captured the hearts of the fans and core media.

Kade has been a passionate racer from an early age and at just 17 he already has 71 downhill races under his belt and his debut season as a fully fledged member of Trek Factory Racing DH. His first win was at Forest of Dean in the Rippers category when he was just 10 years old. Kade said Dz I just love racing, its what I do, what I’ve always done, it’s bred into me”

Kade first came to the attention of Team Director Dan Brown when he tagged along to an Atherton Experience Day at Llandegla with his dad (ex DH racer) Tom when he was just 13 years old…

Kade obviously had talent and a great attitude, so the team kept an eye on him at UK races then in 2014 he was invited to work with the Atherton Academy.

Kade’s first year with the Academy (as a 2nd-year juvenile rider) saw him take a clean sweep in the British Downhill Series with 5 out of 5 wins and the overall title. His first year of the Youth category in 2015 was frustrating for him (he consistently podiumed but could not take the win) but a vital part of his progression as a rider so by the 2016 series he was ready to take two firsts and two seconds from the 6 rounds.

2017 was Kades first year on the World Cup circuit, often a difficult transition for young riders but Kade took the extra pressure in his stride with a new found maturity delivering five top fives across the Series. World Championships was a huge disappointment when a practice crash left him with a concussion and he was compelled to withdraw.

Dan Brown said ͞Racing with Kade is always exciting! We’ve got big plans for him in 2018.͟

Kade says that his objectives for 2018 are DzTo win the British National Championships and more than one Junior World Cup, those podiums last year were Ok, a start, but they weren’t the win…”

When he isn’t riding his Downhill bike Kade will be at the skatepark ( see the Atherton Diaries for Kade in action) hanging out with friends or cooking pancakes!
